Hey! I've decided to join the blogosphere and share some of my life with the rest of the world. (revolutionary, right?) A little about me- I am a college grad and will be embarking on a life changing mission to England in January 2013. I will be serving God in a church for several months as an intern working with children and youth. This blog will be a way for people who have invested prayers to check in on how the ministry is going.

England Baby!
We finally made it!! After a year of prayer and preparation we made it to Lincoln! Total travel time from home to my home for the next 6 months was nearly 40hrs thanks to flight delays and traffic. But praise God for safe travel and wonderful people to greet us when we did arrive. I've been in Lincoln for just over a day and I feel like I've seen so much. After a long afternoon of wandering around the city center Glen and I had a lovely english evening with tea and shepards pie for dinner.
Im so thankful for these people who have offered to host me for the next 6 months. Neil and Rachel are very sweet and helpful. I can't help but see God's hand in this mission trip and his selection of people to be a part of this experience. I'll be sure to update everyone as soon as we begin working, which should be Monday! Now that I have gotten to rest and catch up on sleep I can still say I'm more than excited for what is to come.
Please keep glen and I in your prayers as we begin working with Lincoln baptist church and that while we get an amazing experience serving here, the church is also gaining in our assistance.
This will have to be a short update for now but I'll be sure to update regularly.
I will leave with this verse that was encouraging throughout college- "for I know the plans I have for you, declares The Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11
God Bless <3

Good job, baby girl! We love you so very much! Mom and Dad
ReplyDeleteI agree that the church will also gain from you and Glen being there! Glad that all is well and your new-family is all you hoped for. Have you worn your rain boots yet? Love you and you both are in our prayers.
ReplyDeleteBTW- I hope Glen is not planning on driving that car in the picture; the steering wheel is GONE!
Love Gran
